Ruach HaKodesh — When the Breath of God Awakens the Soul
INTRODUCTION
Pentecost is not merely a historical remembrance.
It is an invitation to encounter the living Spirit of God afresh.
The same Spirit who hovered over the waters in Genesis… who filled the Upper Room in Acts… still breathes upon weary hearts today.
Sometimes gently. Sometimes like fire. Sometimes like waves that carry us further than we imagined we could go.
This Pentecost, perhaps the question is not: “Do I understand Him fully?” But rather: “Am I willing to be filled?”

Reflection
The Holy Spirit cannot be controlled or contained by human understanding.
Like wind, He moves where He wills. Like fire, He purifies. Like water, He carries, cleanses, and sustains.
Pentecost reminds us that God does not merely save us from afar: He dwells within His people.
The frightened disciples became bold witnesses. The hidden became visible. The uncertain became commissioned.
And perhaps many of us today stand somewhere in that same transformation: hungry for renewal, longing for clarity, waiting for courage, or quietly asking, “Lord… is there more?”
The answer of Pentecost is yes.
Not necessarily more noise. Not more performance. But deeper surrender. Greater intimacy. Fresh empowerment. And renewed awareness that Christ lives within us.
Scripture
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be witnesses to Me…” Acts 1:8
“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit…” Acts 2:4
Selah: Pause and Consider
What has God been awakening within you recently?
Have you been resisting, fearing, or welcoming the deeper work of the Spirit?
Where do you need fresh fire, fresh breath, or fresh surrender?
Looking Ahead
Next week we may reflect on what happens after awakening: how the Spirit not only fills us, but teaches us to walk faithfully, daily, and fruitfully.
Perhaps some personal testimony.
Please feel free to share your experiences by Friday 29th 12 Noon.
