Looking Back: and Listening To You
Six Months of The Dove Collection
Dear Dove Collection family,
Six months have passed since our first reflections began appearing on The Dove Collection website. During that time, we have journeyed together through faith, weariness, restoration, calling, surrender, joy and the quiet whispers of God’s grace.
Thank you for your feedback along the way.
Here is a brief look back at where we have travelled.
March invited us to return to God’s presence.
The Restored Presence of God reminded us that He remains with us; When Worship Falls Silent spoke to the seasons when the heart has no words; Wisdom Before the “Yes” encouraged discernment before commitment; and Refuse to Die There called us to rise from regret and receive God’s mercy.
April carried us from hope into renewed purpose.
The Quiet Return of Hope considered the gentle way God restores us. Joy Comes in the Morning welcomed the return of praise, while When Joy Begins to Give showed how restoration moves us towards loving action. Unearthing What God Has Placed Within You invited us to recognise the gifts God has quietly planted within us.
May turned our attention to calling, surrender and the Holy Spirit.
Pursue the Giver Before the Gift and Surrender Before Release reminded us that our relationship with God must come before our desire to be used by Him. The Table That Remembered celebrated family, culture and memories. Ruach HaKodesh marked Pentecost and the awakening breath of God, while The Secret Place and the Rock reminded us that we are hidden, established and lifted by Christ.
June asked us to trust God with both the message and the journey.
The Bottles We Cast Upon the Water explored faithfulness when our efforts seem to drift unseen. Run Your Race. Endure. Finish Well encouraged us to persevere without measuring our progress against somebody else’s path.
July called us into faithful service.
From Seed to Harvest: Where Are the Labourers? reflected on preparation, discipleship and the need for willing workers. What’s in Your Hand? asked us to notice what God has already entrusted to us.
August spoke especially to the weary—and to the power of our words.
The Way Back to Colour offered a gentle invitation to rest and renewal. Mind What You Say! reminded us that words can wound and diminish, or carry grace, healing and hope.

September brought us to a necessary stopping place.
When Grace Says “Halt!” explored exhaustion and the mercy of God’s interruption—because sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop, rest and listen.
You can revisit any of these reflections on "The Dove Collection blog" (https://www.thedovecollection.com/blog/).
We Would Love to Hear from You
As we look towards the coming months, would you take a few moments to tell us:
- Which blog stayed with you most and why?
- Did any reflection help you spiritually, emotionally or practically?
- Was there a particular sentence, poem or Scripture that you carried with you or shared with someone else?
- Are there subjects you would like The Dove Collection to explore?
- Would you enjoy more poetry, personal testimony, practical Christian reflection—or a mixture of all three?
A few lines would be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps You Have a Story to Share
The Dove Collection is a place where faith finds its voice—and that voice does not have to be mine alone.
Perhaps you would like to write a short blog or reflection about your life, work, ministry, fears, lessons, struggles or triumphs. It does not need to be long or professionally written. It simply needs to be honest, thoughtful and your own.

We can only publish pieces that are appropriate for The Dove Collection and consistent with its Christian heart and purpose. Nothing will be published without your clear permission.
If you would prefer your contribution to appear anonymously, please let us know.
God willing, we will contact you if your piece has been selected for publication during October.
Introducing Whispers of Grace: The Eleventh Hour
Quietly, behind the blog and the other work of The Dove Collection, another book has been taking shape.
Whispers of Grace: The Eleventh Hour will bring together poetry, Scripture and reflection: moving through warning, lament, repentance, return, worship and the assurance of God’s presence.
These two recent poems will sit within its pages.

A Small Book Learning to Walk
On 16 September, The Seasons of Life became six months old.
It has learnt to crawl—but it still needs a little practical support to stand up and walk!
You can help by sharing the book with someone, purchasing a copy as a gift, leaving an honest review, or simply forwarding the Amazon link:
"Purchase The Seasons of Life on Amazon UK" (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1919391002)
Please also share our website with anyone who may benefit from its poetry, Scripture and reflections:

Thank you for reading, encouraging, praying and walking alongside The Dove Collection during these first six months.
With gratitude and every blessing,

Thank you, Pearline. This is a much needed labour of love, and a reminder that as the sower sows the seed, only the good soil bears lasting fruit. So, we need to prepare our hearts and pay attention to the Lord’s word, if we are to reap the desired benefits.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Dr Oluwatudimu. I’m grateful that these reflections have spoken to you. Your reminder about good soil is true and timely, the heart must be tended if the seed is to bear lasting fruit. May the Lord continue to prepare our soil and deepen our attention to His word, so that what He plants in us grows strong and endures.
